A Day in the Life at KJS
Below are the general timings and events of a school day at KJS followed by some additional information. Full class timetables will be shared by the class teacher at the start of the year.

8:00 – 8:15 am |
Students can arrive from 8:00 am and should remain in the lower ground floor playground until 8:15 am |

8:15 – 8:25 am |
Students may choose to go to their classrooms or stay in the playground |

During morning arrival, playground equipment and ball games (except in covered areas) are permitted during this time. |

10:00 – 10:20 am |
Y1, Y2 and Y6 snack eating Y3 and Y4 playing– lower playground only. Y5 playing– upper playground only |

Y1 and Y2 playing – lower playground only. Y6 playing– upper playground only Y3, Y4 and Y5 snack eating |

All students eat a healthy snack (brought from home) in their classrooms. |

All students eat lunch in classes. Lunch is either brought in from home or ordered through the PTA. Playtime for all students in lower playground, upper playground, hall or library. |

Reflection/ Circle Time. All students back in classrooms. |

Classes end. Students are taken to school buses or are picked up by caregivers. |
Some students remain at school to attend after school clubs.
*We have a staggered dismissal for students who walk home:
- Year 1 and 2: 2:45 pm
- Year 3 and 4: 2:50 pm
- Year 5 and 6: 2:55 pm
- Bus students and those attending ECAs will be dismissed at 2:45 pm.
- Please remind your child to always wait with a known staff member and to go to the office if they become separated.
